Kodet Winnie is 8 years old. She has 2 brothers and 3 sisters, and she is the third oldest. Winnie’s father is dead and she lives with her mother and her 5 siblings in a hut. After school, Winnie washes plates and helps take care of her younger siblings. Her mother sells charcoal in the market, but her earnings are not sufficient to supply her family with an adequate amount of food. Winnie sleeps on a mat on the floor.
